Private Chess Tutoring Session:

60 minutes (straight through).

weekdays:

5-9 pm: Mondays, Wednesdays. $85/session
Starting in June 2020 (June - August (end)): 5-9 pm Tuesdays and Thursdays as well

weekends:

8-11 am: Saturdays, Sundays. $95/session

Location:

Tutoring takes place in Richard's home. The closest intersection is Keele St. and Humberside Ave., Toronto, Ontario. Street parking is available and back-alley car pad parking is guaranteed. Richard's house is a very short distance from major public transportation hubs in west Toronto: less than 1 km away from TTC subway stations on the Bloor-Danforth Line (Keele station, Dundas West station), less than 1 km away from Bloor GO station, and 2.5 km away from Lake Shore Boulevard West at Parkside Drive (i.e., Keele St.).

Tutoring Studio:

The studio is aka the big, well-lit dining room table on the main floor of Richard's house (shared with his partner). The house is pet-free; clients are not permitted to bring a pet. In the case of a young student, one adult guardian may sit in on any tutoring session (provided s/he remains quiet). There is a living room next to the dining room behind a sliding French door. In order that the student is not distracted or self-conscious, the door remains closed for the duration of the tutoring session; the guardian can clearly hear the session.

Chess Lesson Bookings:

If you would like to 'lock in' the date(s) and time(s) of your upcoming tutoring session(s), prepayment is necessary. PayPal or e-transfer is accepted. Contact Richard for details. Login to view the calendar. (Reminder: Instructions were emailed to you.) Tutoring sessions can be booked up to 6 weeks in advance.
